Great hotel. Definitely on the pricy side but we paid a little extra for a city view. The room was clean and cleaned every day. For New York it was a decent size. Only thing lacking was closet space. There was plenty room to maybe add some head boards for some more space. Personnel was friendly and helpful. The gym is fine but during our stay was unfortunately quite warm(80 Fahrenheit ) Even though we asked the receptionist several times to check on it unfortunately nothing changed. The airco in our hotel was unfortunately really loud. I wish it would have been a little less noisy. The free breakfast is great. Definitely above average for American breakfast. I really like the area because it’s a nice street ( flower street) and the metro is just down the street. The great location makes part of the city also very walkable. Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for a week earlier this month. The location is great and we had amazing views from the room. Breakfast is quite chaotic, often running out of plates, cutlery, mugs, and even coffee one morning and at that time of the day you can easily wait for over ten minutes for a lift. Desk staff were great and we want to give a special mention to Ashton, who was super helpful and made our stay unforgettable.

Great hotel, super location, close to everything but a quieter area. Amira the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was clean with all amenities. Note: no safe box. It was a high floor and it was very windy and there were some noises from the window but I was very tired and slept through. The room is very warm, it was 0 Celsius and no A/c was needed. Amazing city view all the way to the statue of liberty. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of room. Hot drinks available at the reception all dat. Highly recommend!!

I waited about five minutes to be checked in as the front desk was quite busy, but Amira truly made the experience wonderful. She is an absolute ball of sunshine—from the moment she greets you, her warmth and positivity are felt. Everyone at the front desk seemed genuinely kind and happy with what they do. Just watching them work is uplifting—you can see them smiling even while handling phone calls. The check-in experience was excellent overall, and the room I was given was also wonderful

Hotel was nice. Bedroom was pretty small but very functional. Nice view of the city. Curtain was damaged so you get to have light coming in at night. Missed normal toiletries you get to receive at other Marriott properties, not even a bottle of water was given to us at check in. Overall, nice location, comfy bed and room.

Excellent location to explore New York and the hotel is great value. Every member of staff was absolutely lovely. This level of service is incredibly hard to find in New York at this price point. But particular shout-out to Giani, who saved me! I accidentally selected the wrong stay dates after my flight was cancelled. Despite the hotel being at full capacity, Giani went to great effort to find me a room for the night. Sincere thanks to Giani!!

Dear SpringHill Suites Chelsea Marriott Management Team, I wanted to take a moment to share our wonderful experience at your hotel during our stay from December 14–17, when we visited to celebrate our son’s 4th birthday. From the moment we arrived, your staff truly made our stay unforgettable. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, but I would especially like to recognize Xavier (the best!), Ariel, Janella, Maryann from dining, and Beinvenido. Each of them went above and beyond—not only for my husband and me, but especially for our son, Andrew. Andrew absolutely loves elevators, and your staff made his excitement feel important. They always greeted him with smiles, made sure he got to enjoy his elevator rides, and treated him with such kindness that it meant the world to us as parents. Those small moments made a huge difference and are memories we will cherish. We are so grateful we chose your hotel. Breakfast was excellent, our room was very clean, the elevators were not nearly as bad as some reviews suggested, and the easy access to the subway made getting around the city effortless. Most importantly, your team made us feel truly welcome. Please know how appreciated your staff is, and we hope they receive recognition for the outstanding care they provide to guests. Thank you again for helping make our son’s birthday celebration so special.

The room had an amazing view with both the Freedom tower and Statue of Liberty visible. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Very modern. The tea and coffee station in the lobby was a nice plus. The location is excellent. One block to two different subway lines. Nice area with tons of restaurants within 1 block in any direction. The major con of this hotel are the elevators. There are two separate banks of two elevators each and they are not on the same call button system. They are also not divided by floors - there are over 45 floors, so having express for floors above 20 something would e been nice. There also isn't a service elevator for the cleaning staff, so they would frequently come on to ride the elevator one floor. This can mean very long waits and slow rides with lots of stops, often with extra stops since people will push the call buttons for both pairs of elevators on their floor and take whichever arrives first. Also on 2 separate occasions, once going up and once going down, after stopping at one or two floors, all floors that had been entered were cancelled and the elevator started going in the opposite direction. The screen where you select your floor has horrible contrast making it very difficult to see if your floor is pressed (light gray circle on light blue background). As noted in other reviews, the breakfast area is cramped and somewhat chaotic. We only ate there once in a multi day trip. It just wasn't worth the hassle and stressful ambience. Even though it was winter time and cold outside, it wasn't possible to set the room temp below 68 and there must be sensors in the room since it didn't seem to run when it was unoccupied. Some minor complaints: no suitcase stand, no dresser drawers, lighting options: very bright or off, huge gaps between wall and bathroom barn door, and the coat "hooks" are too flimsy to hang anything, so you have to use a hanger with them.
